Ex-Great Central 2-8-0 Class O4/3 No 6257 is seen passing Braunston & Willoughby on an up goods train circa 1928. Built in February 1919 by the North British Locomotive Company, LNER No 6257 was later renumbered in 1946 as LNER No 3842 and then by British Railways as No 63842 which it carried until it was withdrawn from service in April 1965 from 41J Langwith Junction.
