Clifford Chambers Sidings: smjc100a
A close up of image 'smjc100' shows four of the side-tipping
wagons standing on the loading bank siding in Goldicote Cutting. The
side-tipping wagons are similar to those seen used by railway contractors
albeit much smaller. They are however very robust being made out of very thich
timber. Note the dumb buffers are continuations of the frame, the links and the
extremely short wheelbase indicating that horse power was the only means of
propulsion.
