LMS: Nuneaton to Birmingham New Street

Water Orton Station: mrwo1841

British Railways Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 No 92139 passes beneath the footbridge at Water Orton with a Class F express freight heading for Nuneaton. Built at Crewe works in July 1957, No 92139 was allocated direct to 21A Saltley shed where it remained until December 1966 when it was transferred to 8C Speke Junction shed before it was recorded as being transferred to 12A Kingmoor shed, Carlisle in August 1967 from where it was withdrawn from service in September 1967 (the following month) to be scrapped by the Motherwell Machinery and Scrap Company of Wishaw.
