Whitacre Station: mrwj1866

A schematic drawing showing the juxtaposition of Whitacre's two stations, some sixty chains from each other. As stated in image 'mrsbr1867c', which shows the first of two 1877 Timetables, there are notes which imply that the original B&DJR 1839 station did not close on 1st November 1864 as is commonly understood but was at least partly open at the same as the MR's new 1864 station. The note on the 1877 daily timetable states 'The Hampton Engine must take Traffic from the New to the Old Whitacre Station at 10:20 am & 2:30 pm. No 5 Train waits for Burton Goods when required.
