Ex-MR 2P 4-4-0 No 40452 passes through Whitacre Station with a Nuneaton to New Street service. Built by Derby works in May 1894, No 40452 was first renumbered by the LMS as No 452 and then again, in September 1949, by British Railways which it retained until January 1961 when it was withdrawn from 15C Leicester (Midland) shed to be scrapped. As it was allocated to Leicester shed from w/c 19th June 1954 its most likely working through on a Leicester to Nuneaton to New Street service.
