The line passing to the left of the signal box was listed on a diagram in Midland Record No 26 as the, 'Running Road to Dugout', whilst the other three were described as 'Transfer Road to Dugout', 'Lawley Street Traffic' and 'Brake Vans'. To the right of the No 5 box a fifth line ran towards Washwood Heath Siding No 6 Signal Box where under its direction the sidings fanned out into the remaining twenty-one sidings.
