Ex-MR 3F 0-6-0 No 43668 stands together with eight other sister locomotives on what had been the Saltley coal roads, alongside the Birmingham and Warwick Junction Canal in May 1962. Originally a member of SW Johnson's M class, built by Vulcan Foundry in 1900 as MR No 3668, the locomotive was rebuilt in 1925 by Henry Fowler with a G7 boiler to become a 3F 0-6-0 class locomotive. Renumbered by British Railways April 1949 as No 43668, the locomotive remained in service until August 1962 when it was withdrawn from 21A Saltley shed to be scrapped. It had been allocated to 21B Bournville shed from 1946 until it was transferred to 21A Saltley shed in February 1960.
