British Railways 7MT 'Britannia Class' 4-6-2 No 70047 is seen without its left hand connecting rod inside Saltley shed on 13th March 1966. Built by Crewe works in June 1954, when the photograph was taken, No 70047 was allocated to Kingmoor shed in Carlisle from where it was withdrawn in July 1967 to be scrapped by GH Campbell of Airdrie.
