LMS Route: Hampton in Arden to Whitacre
Coleshill later Maxstoke Station: mrcm166
View of Chester Road overbridge which accommodated only one
line of the branch because it was built after the railway was singled. The
Chester Road was once the main route to the North West from Coventry and
district prior to the opening of the M6. Packington Hall Estate sidings, just
beyond the bridge, served to transport coal inwards and timber outwards. The
sidings were closed for this purpose by the 1930s. C1956
