A 1903 Ordnance Survey map showing the junction between Midland lines to Nuneaton and Gloucester with the LNWR's London to Birmingham line. The Midland line from Saltley now 'burrows' beneath the LNWR's line to Coventry and the MR's line from Camp Hill. This significantly reduced the delays to traffic in all three directions, particularly the Midland's routes to Nuneaton and Tamworth via Saltley.
