View of the locomotive shed and yard after closure and removal of the railway track taken on Friday 3rd November 1961. From left to right the view includes: an old lamp post with cross bar for lamplighter's ladder, part of the Cadburys factory behind houses in Bournville, a line of telegraph poles still in use, the coaling stage, the engine entrance highlighted by the soot stained brickwork above it, a former railway coach body present for many years, the shed's offices to the right of the shed, the home signal guarding the northbound exit from the shed, the signal box, a chimney in Stirchley bearing the slogan "join the co-op", the home signal guarding the southbound main line and the home signal guarding the northbound main line, raised to indicate line ahead clear to an unseen train.
