Bournville Shed: mrb1540

Ex-MR Kirtley 2F 0-6-0 No 22834, with its distictive 'double' frames, stands inside the shed on 2nd March 1935. A member of the Midland Railway's 700 Class, No 22834 was built by the Vulcan Foundry as MR No 391 in 1874 and was to remain in service until November 1947 when it was withdrawn from 21A Saltley shed to be scrapped by Derby works in March 1949.
