A 1902 25 inch to the mile Ordnance Survey map showing the
original length of Arley Tunnel and its tunnel entrances. The original tunnel
entrance on the left (Whitacre side) was later moved back towards the first air
shaft when it was opened out into a cutting in the 1940s.
