A three quarter rear view of the up side of the station's roadside main booking office is seen on 25th October 1964. On the left are a variety of S&T tools and materials with the lamp room built parallel to the bridge abutment whilst on the right is the island platform and its canopy which protected passengers from the bottom of the staircase to and alongside the platform buildings as seen in image 'lnwrstfd2850'. The only signage visible is the 'Way Out' sign on the up platform on the other side of the island platform.
