Ex-LMS 2P 0-4-4T No 41902 stands alongside Rugby's three-road Erecting Workshop circa early 1960. Two of these 0-4-4Ts had recently been employed on the Rugby-Leamington service. The locomotive has been converted so that the driving controls can be operated via a driver's cab fitted to the front of the first coach. For whatever reason, from photographic evidence, it seemed standard practice that services were pushed to Nuneaton and pulled to Leamington. Built as LMS No 1902 at Derby works to Lot 78 in December 1932 it remained in service until November 1959 when it was withdrawn from Rugby to be stored until it was finally scrapped sometime in 1960 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge. It must have been transferred to Coventry shed because it can be without coupling rods in image 'lnwrcov649'.
