Ex-LMS Rebuilt Patriot 4-6-0 No 45530 ' Sir Frank Ree' stands at Rugby's up platform with a Type 3 working on 6th June 1964. A Type 3 working, denoted by the lamps on the bufferbeam, was classified by British Railways as 'Parcels, fish, fruit, horse, livestock, meat, milk, pigeon or perishables train composed entirely of vehicles conforming to coaching stock requirements. Empty coaching stock train (not specifically authorised to carry '1' headcode)'. Built by Crewe works in April 1933 but receiving its name in March 1937, No 45530 was also a parallel boilered Henry Fowler design which was rebuilt in October 1946 when its boiler became life expired. In rebuilt form No 45530 was given its British Railways number in September 1948 and remained in service until December 1965 when as the last member of its class it was withdrawn from 12A Kingmoor shed to be scrapped by the Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Company.
