Ex-LMS 'Black 5' 4-6-0 No 45324 of Rugby (2A) shed speeds into the station from the north, laying a smokescreen over the tracks, at Nuneaton (Trent Valley) on Thursday 26th March 1964. Built as LMS No 5324 by Armstrong Whitworth in February 1937, No 45324 was to remain in service until August 1967 when it was withdrawn from 9F Heaton Mersey shed to be scrapped by J Cashmores of Great Bridge.
