A number of ex-LMS locomotives are seen being prepared in front of the shed ready for their next rostered trips

A number of ex-LMS locomotives are seen being prepared in front of the shed ready for their next rostered trips. Ex-LMS 4F 0-6-0 No 44039 was built by Derby works in January 1925 and remained in service until June 1964 when it was withdrawn from 56A Wakefield shed. Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 45198 was built by Armstrong Whitworth Company in October 1935 remaining in service until September 1967 when it was withdrawn from 8F Springs Branch shed in Wigan. Ex-LMS 4MT 2-6-0 No 43002 was built by Horwich works in December 1947 and it remained in service until December 1967 when it was withdrawn from 12D Workington shed. Ex-LMS 6P/5F 2-6-0 'Stanier Mogul' No 42962 was originally built in January 1934 as LMS No 13262 by Crewe works being renumbered as LMS No 2962 in December 1934 and again by British Railways as No 42962 in August 1948 which it carried until February 1964 when it was withdrawn from 2B Oxley shed.
