Ex-LMS 4-6-0 5MT No 45089 is seen running at speed on a down fitted freight as it approaches Leicester Road bridge on 3rd June 1961. Built as LMS No 5089 by the Vulcan Foundry in April 1935 No 45089 remained in service until August 1967 when it was withdrawn from Crewe South shed to be scrapped during December 1967 by J Cashmore of Newport.
