British Railways Standard class 9F No 92009 is seen heading a mineral train out of the marshalling yard as an oil train is being shunted over the yard's hump. Built at Crewe works in March 1954 No 92009 remained in service until the last year of mainline steam being withdrawn in March 1968 from Carnforth shed to be scrapped during July 1968 by J Cashmore of Newport.
