Ex-LMS 4-6-2 Coronation class No 46246 'City of Manchester' is seen entering Nuneaton station at the head of the up Royal Scot circa 1960. Built at Crewe works in August 1943 in streamlined form No 46246 remained in service until January 1963 when it became the first of the class to be withdrawn - from Camden shed in London - and was scrapped during May 1963 at Crewe works.
