British Railways Standard class 5MT No 73004 is seen passing through platform four on a Class C up express goods service. A Class C express goods carried either parcels, fish, livestock, milk, fruit or perishables with the stock all being braked operated. Built at Derby works in June 1951 No 73004 remained in service until October 1967 when it was withdrawn from Bolton shed to be scrapped in May 1968 by J Cashmore of Newport.
