Monument Lane Shed: lnwrmlsh2232

Ex-LMS 4P 4-4-0 'Compound' No 41168 stands on one of the Promenade' roads alongside the shed. This was one of a number of Compounds built by outside contractors for the LMS. In this instance No 41168 was built as LMS No 1168 by the North British Locomotive Company in October 1925 and was to remain in service until July 1961 when it was withdrawn from 21E Monument Lane shed.
