The raised area to the left of the warehouse was the landing area to disembark road vehicles. Either side of the landing dock was a set of tracks, the furthest away leading to the Lime store and the nearest passing between the landing dock and shed to end at buffer stops. This siding would have been used by local merchants for either bringing in coal and other goods or for shipping local produce outwards.
