LMS Route: Berkswell to Kenilworth Junction

Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48751 exchanges the staff with signalman Frank Prew at Kenilworth Junction on 18th July 1965. The signalmen accessed the Signal Cabin via the footpath seen on the right rising up to Common Lane bridge. In LNWR and Great Central parlance, signalmen worked in Signal Cabins whereas on most other lines, including the MR and GWR, such structures were known as Signal Boxes.
