Ex-LNWR 0-6-0 18-inch Goods 'Cauliflower' No 2303, still in lined-out LNWR livery, with early LMS-style insignia on the carriage trucks heads a Coventry to Olympia Motor Show Special. Mike Williams writes, 'the first five CCTs look brand new. After that its a rather motley collection of older vans'! The train is stabled on the siding which ran parallel to the line to Birmingham. Spencer Park railings are those seen at the top of the embankment. The branch to Nuneaton can just be seen on the very left of this photograph. If this was a publicity photograph then this would be one of the few places in Coventry where such a photograph could be taken. Built at Crewe works in October 1895, No 2303 was allocated No 8391 by the LMS but this was never applied as it was withdrawn from service in October 1927.
