Ex-LMS 4-6-2 Coronation class No 46245 'City of London' stands at platform 3 on a down service in 1964. Built in streamlined form as LMS No 6245 by Crewe works in June 1943 No 46245 had the streamlining removed in October 1947 and remained in service until October 1964 when it was withdrawn from 5A Crewe North shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
