Looking towards Rugby with the signal cabin and main station buildings on the up platform on the right. Its thought that the postcard dates from the 1930s although it possible it was taken in the 1940s before it closed on 6th April 1953. Irrespective, the station was little changed, other than the addition of the signal cabin, over the 103 years of its existence. David St John Thomas noted that the failure of British Railways departments to communicate resulted in Clifton Mill station's booking office being enlarged to accommodate a new stove occurred two days before total closure.
