Midland Railway 2P 4-4-0 No 527 is seen in company with two other members of the 483 class as it is turned on New Street's turntable. MR 2P 4-4-0 No 539 is at the rear behind an unknown unsaturated stable mate possibly No 368 or 369. One of a number of Midland locomotives fitted for oil firing No 527 was built at Derby works on 16th September 1899 and after being rebuilt by Fowler remained in service until February 1956 when it was withdrawn from Bath Green Park shed on the Somerset and Dorset Railway to be scrapped in March 1956 by Derby works.
