Ex-LMS 5P4F 2-6-0 'Crab' No 2764 is seen passing under Worcester Street bridge, with the tunnel seen in the distance, as it enters New Street station on 18th June 1949. Built at Crewe works in July 1927 as LMS No 13064, No 2764 was renumbered by the LMS in June 1935 as No 2764 and then again by British Railways in April 1950 as 42764 which it retained until January 1962 when it was withdrawn from 21A Saltley shed to be scrapped by Cashmores of Great Bridge.
