LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington

Bedworth Station: lnwrb3259

An overgrown and abandoned Bedworth station is seen on 13th June 1966 some eighteen months after closure. Considering the the station has been closed for over a year there is very little evidence of vandalism. The large diameter glazed clay pipes on the platform indicate that there will be some engineering work being undertaken soon with drainage along the track being one of the priorities. The large board fixed to the end gable of the up platform building (as seen in image 'lnwrb28') has been removed and lowered to the ground.
