LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth
Trent Valley Lineside: - Gypsy Lane: lnwr_gyp1157
Ex-LNWR 2P 4-6-0 Experiment class No 5525 'Byzantium' is
seen on a down Stafford to Rugby semi-fast express near Gypsy Lane circa 1927.
Built as LNWR 2638 by Crewe works in June 1909 No 5525 received its LMS number
in February 1927 and remained in service until June 1934 when it was withdrawn
to be scrapped by Crewe works shortly afterwards.
