Yardley Wood Platform: gwryw668

Looking towards Stratford upon Avon as an unidentified 'motor fitted' GWR 517 class 0-4-2T locomotive propels a 'push-pull' train from Yardley Wood

Looking towards Stratford upon Avon as an unidentified 'motor fitted' GWR 517 class 0-4-2T locomotive propels a 'push-pull' train from Yardley Wood bound for Moor Street not long after the line opened. The path from Highfield Road bridge to the down platform can be seen on the left whilst in the foreground the porter's barrow crossing can be seen traversing the tracks. The barrow crossing was used by porters to wheel luggage or parcels from one platform to another. The sign seen on the left platform by the ramp is requesting passengers not to cross the line via the barrow crossing seen at the bottom of the photograph.
