GWR Route: Hatton to Stratford on Avon

A southward view in 1963 has the top of the incline at 1 in 75 up from Stratford upon Avon in the distance. With the exception of the concrete lampposts erected by British Railways in the 1950s, this scene is hardly different to that seen in the 1930s. At the end of the platform on the right a P&W hut can be seen and beyond, the refuge siding to accommodate goods trains which were required to move out of the path of passenger or other fast services.
