View of the remains of original station building located alongside of Wilmcote Signal Box on 29th May 1950. When the building was first opened it had two chimneys, one at each gable end as can be seen ion image 'gwrwil654a'. The building initially accommodated a booking office, booking hall and waiting room. By the turn of the century it would appear from looking at image 'gwrwil2623a' that the chimney on the gable nearest to the camera had been removed. The platform has been cut back in length presumably at the time the new signal box was built in 1908 when the North Warwickshire Line and the route to the South West was opened.
