With its GWR 'running in board' displaying the station's name, this 1959 photograph shows some improvements have been made since first built. A small ticket has been installed with electric lighting fitted to convenient existing telegraph poles. This photograph illustrates nicely the use of old railway timbers to form the platforms which would be filled with hardcore.
