Ex-GWR 4-6-0 No 6831 Bearley Grange and ex-LMS 4-6-0 Class 5MT No 44932 inside Tyseley shed on 19th September 1965

Ex-GWR 4-6-0 No 6831 Bearley Grange and ex-LMS 4-6-0 Class 5MT No 44932 inside Tyseley shed on 19th September 1965. Also seen are two unidentified locomotives, an ex-GWR 2-6-2T Prairie tank and an ex-LMS 2-6-0 Mogul. Locomotive No 6831, now minus its number and nameplates, had just worked an excursion into Snow Hill station. Tyseley shed was now under the control of the Midland Region and Tyseley's 84E shed plates had been replaced by the LMR's 2A shedcode. Built at Swindon works in August 1937, No 6831 remained in service until October 1965 when it was withdrawn from 84B Oxley shed to be scrapped by J Cohens of Kettering. LMS No 44932 was built by Horwich works in September 1945 and remained in service until August 1968 when it was withdrawn from 10F Rose Grove shed.
