GWR 4-4-0 Earl class No 3210, formerly 'Earl Cairns' is seen leaving Stratford on Avon at the head of a short up goods on 26th June 1943. The locomotive was probably on the class 'J' 5:50pm Honeybourne to Tyseley working, the return working of the 11:35am Bordesley Junction to Honeybourne service. Based at Stratford on Avon shed between 1941 and 1952 for most of the time, No 3210 eventually moved back to the Cambrian line. The large building in the distance was part of the gas works located near to the Birmingham Road and goods yard. Built at Swindon works in April 1937, No 3210 had its name removed only a few months after being built, in June 1937, and was later renumbered by the GWR as No 9010 in August 1946 which it carried in service until July 1957 when it was withdrawn from 89A Oswestry shed to be scrapped in July 1957 by Swindon works.
