Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48312 is seen at the head of a Type 7 working at Queens Head Sidings on 26th September 1964. Under the Train Reporting Codes issued by British Railways in 1962 a Type 7 working was described as being an 'Express freight train NOT fitted with the automatic brake. Maximum speed 40 mph. Where fitted vehicles are required to be placed next to the engine and coupled up, this will be shewn in the appropriate Regional train loading instructions.'
