Cross sectional view of Moor Street station showing the passenger station on the left, the upper goods yard on the right and the two lower sheds. The sectional view clearly shows how the profile of the ground, which was higher adjacent to Moor Street than at Park Street and Allison Street influenced the unusual configuration of the goods facility at Moor Street. The two lower sheds were formed when the GWR added to the original set of arches carrying the line to the station with another set of brick built arches and then in-filling between the two arches with a ferroconcrete structure. Shed 'A' was 24 feet 1½ inches below the rail level of the goods yard sited above with access being made available by the truck hoist seen to the right of Park Street. Entry to Shed 'B' was via an entrance off Allison Street which led to a cart road that ran the full length of the shed. Inside the shed the loading area was 'U' shaped being formed by a platform built down each side and another at the far end adjacent to Park Street.
