British Railways built 2-6-0 2MT No 46470 runs light engine through Hatton station on 20th April 1965. Built at Darlington works in July 1951, No 46470 was to remain in service until October 1967 when it was withdrawn from 12A Kingmoor shed in Carlisle. The locomotive was running light engine to 2L Leamington Spa where it had been transferred week ending 24th October 1964 until week ending 19th June 1965 when it was transferred to 2A Tyseley shed where it stayed until week ending 15th October 1966 when it was transferred to 12B Upperby shed in Carlisle before it moved to 12A Kingmoor shed also in Carlisle.
