A three-car 'Cross Country' Diesel Multiple Unit stands at Grimes Hill & Wythall Platform on 15th May 1959. According to CT Goode in 'The North Warwickshire Railway' the North Warwickshire Line was provided with several types of DMUs, three-car units built by Swindon works comprising two 150 hp motor units and a trailer car, Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon sets, both types known as 'cross-country units', plus the single Gloucester RCW units with twin 150hp motors, others with 230 hp engines. They were allocated to Tyseley shed.
