GWR Route: Alcester to Hatton Junction

An 1903 25 inches to the mile Ordnance Survey Map showing Claverdon Station and the single siding goods yard. In this view the single siding forming the 'goods yard' has been extended under the road bridge and rejoins the branch's single line. As can be seen in image 'gwrc10' the bridge carrying the road of the railway was built sufficiently wide to accommodate two lines, a common practice adopted by the builders of single line branches, just in case there was a need to double the line at a later date.
