Ex-GWR 4-6-0 6959 class No 6970 'Whaddon Hall' enters Snow Hill station with a Type 3 working on 23rd November 1963. Built by Swindon works to Lot 350 in September 1944, No 6970 was to remain in service until June 1964 when it was withdrawn from 81F Oxford shed to be scrapped by Birds of Risca. A Type 3 working was designated to cover 'Parcels, fish, fruit, horse, livestock, meat, milk, pigeon or perishables train composed entirely of vehicles conforming to coaching stock requirements. Empty coaching stock train (not specifically authorised to carry '1' headcode)'.
