Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Class 4073 No 5085 'Evesham Abbey' departs Birmingham Snow Hill station on 20th September 1963. Originally built by Swindon works in December 1922 as Star Class locomotive No 4065 'Evesham Abbey', it was rebuilt as a Castle Class locomotive to Lot 317 in July 1939 keeping its name but gaining the running number No 5085 which it retained until February 1964 when it was withdrawn from 82B St Philips March shed to be scrapped by R Hayes of Bridgend.
