Birmingham Snow Hill - British Railways Period Locomotives:

Ex-GWR 4-6-0 County class No 1022 'County of Northampton' is
seen arriving with the 9 20am Birkenhead Woodside to Bournemouth West express
on 17th June 1957. Standing light engine on the up through road is ex-GWR
0-6-0PT No 9614 waiting for signals to clear a path to run bunker first to
Tyseley shed. Built at Swindon works to Lot 376 in December 1946 No 1022
remained in service until October 1962 when it was withdrawn from Shrewsbury
shed to be scrapped in January 1964 by TW Ward of Killamarsh near Sheffield.
Pannier Tank No 9614 was a member of the 57xx class and was built at Swindon
works to Lot 352 in September 1945 and remained in service until July 1966 when
it was withdrawn from Stourbridge Junction shed to be scrapped in November 1966
by Garnham Harris & Elton of Chesterfield.
