View of Alcester shed in September 1936 when 0-4-2T locomotive No.4801 was stabled here. The junction to the right is the LMS Evesham to Redditch branch. The ladder to the water tank facilitated inspection of the tank and maintenance of the float gauge which can be seen approximately 5 foot to the right of the man on the ladder.
